Every business has a beginning—and mine was born from personal transformation.
My first son was born in a hospital under a doctor’s care. First-time parenthood felt overwhelming, and I struggled to embrace the essence of my role as a mother. My second son was born at home, supported by a midwife and a doula. That experience was life-changing. The strength I discovered during that birth carried me through postpartum and continues to inspire every aspect of my life.
I felt called to help others find their own paths and step into their power.
I trained with the late Jessica Austin to become a doula. From the very first day, I was captivated by her depth of knowledge—and humbled by how much I still had to learn, despite having given birth twice and taken prenatal classes both times. That’s when I realized that sharing honest, comprehensive childbirth education was the most impactful way I could contribute to the empowerment of women and the reclamation of their birthing power.
From the beginning, my mission has been clear: to inform, support, and empower parents to embrace their journey with confidence, make informed choices, and carry their inner wisdom into this sacred stage of life.
I became a Certified Childbirth Educator—and Be with birth. was born.
Birth of a Business
Be a Force.
"Making things look easy isn't the only way to do them; isn't the only way to make things worth doing; isn't the only way to make you powerful." -Jessica Austin 1985-2021
Over the years, many of my clients shared how fulfilling their birth experiences were—but also spoke of a significant gap in postpartum care, especially around infant feeding. This resonated deeply with me, as I, too, struggled to feed my own children in those early days.
In the spring of 2022, I came across the work of Karla Masse, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and was profoundly inspired by her compassionate, evidence-based approach to feeding support. Her presence stayed with me—and in 2023, I found the courage to begin my own journey toward becoming an IBCLC.
Karla graciously agreed to mentor me, generously offering her time and expertise as I completed 500 hours of supervised clinical training—even flying across the country to support me. In April 2025, I sat for the IBCLC board exam, and I’m eagerly awaiting my results in July.
I’m honoured and excited to grow in this work and to serve my community—and beyond—with even deeper, more comprehensive care.
How I’m Growing
Be Courageous.
Be Heard.
