My first experience with birth came as a teenager when I became pregnant for the first time at 16 years old and chose to give birth by abortion. Seventeen years later, I'm the mother of two suns who blessed me with vastly different birth experiences. My first was born in the hospital, under a family doctor's care. First-time parenthood was confusing, and I struggled to embrace the essence of my role. My second was born at home, with the support of midwives and a doula. It was life-changing, and I carried that power with me through postpartum and into the rest of my life.

I wanted to help other people find their path and feel their power.

I trained with the late Jessica Austin to become a doula. From day one, I was captivated by her knowledge and surprised by how little I knew, even after giving birth twice and taking prenatal classes both times. It was then that I decided that sharing honest and complete childbirth education was how I would have the greatest impact on the empowerment of women and the promotion of a person-first and informed choice birth culture.

I became a Certified Childbirth Educator and Be with birth. was born!

Birth of a Business

Be a Force.

"Making things look easy isn't the only way to do them; isn't the only way to make things worth doing; isn't the only way to make you powerful."
- Jessica Austin 1985-2021

My clients had fulfilling birth experiences but felt a significant gap in postpartum support, particularly in infant feeding. This was an area where I struggled with both of my children, too. In the spring of 2022, I came across Karla Masse, an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, and was deeply moved by her knowledgeable and compassionate approach to feeding support. I continued to follow her work, and in 2023, I found the courage to pursue becoming an IBCLC, too. Karla generously agreed to be my clinical mentor and flew across the country to train me. Today, I operate a private infant feeding practice in Prince George, BC and am completing the requirements to write the board exam in spring 2025. With the guidance and support of Karla's mentorship, I am privileged to provide infant feeding support to families throughout Northern BC.

But it didn’t end there. Through my experience providing feeding support, I noticed a prevalent pattern of nervous system dysregulation among new mothers and their babies. Babies need to feel relaxed and secure for them to feed effectively, while mothers need to feel this way to be well. I recently completed a Reiki practitioner training and am currently immersed in learning about the connection between life force energy and the nervous system and how clearing one's energetic field can support mothers to thrive.

The essence of my entire career is to help women recognize and harness their incredible power as natural forces and to be deeply connected and in sync with their babies.

Welcome; I am honoured to do this work and grateful if you have made it this far.

How I’m Growing
